2003 Volkswagen GTI - Solara
One of only 4,000 20th anniversary GTIs in the Us. 2,000 of which erre black magic pearl. These cars are quite zippy and so much fun to drive. This gti will turn some heads, and willbeat a good majority of cars that pull up looking for a race.
From the factory the 20th ae came with: a 6 speed Audi Tt tranny with a limited slip, with sports struts and lowering springs. The only aftermarket parts are the dog bone bushing, the kandn flat filter and a short shift kit. However, I have plenty of plans for this car.
This model also came from the factory with its own r32 inspired body kit including a front bumper, front valance, rear valance, rear bumper, and a stealthy ( duck bill) shaped wing. Aftermarket I wired an led to light up the backside of my VW emblem, and I have a very small subtle tow hook. (Not a massive Ricey one) lol
The 20th ae gti was also kitted out verry well on the inside as well. It comes with recaro buckets, sporty red trim is found in various spots in the car such as the seats and seat belts. Also, volkswagen put some modern brushed aluminum on the door panels and around the sound system with the car number (1-4,000). Aftermarket my gti has blue domelights in the ceiling.
My GTI has the stock Sachs struts in the back, but has some new bolstering B8s in the back. All running on factory lowering springs that came on the 20th.
I have the stock monsoon head unit, front speakers and tweeters. I have changed the rear out for some alpine sps 610s which sound extremely clean and have good hard hitting bass when it's wanted. I also have an after market 20 gig hard drive for mp3. A Polk audio sub and enclosure with an alpine or kicker amp are soon to come, followed by the replacement of the remaining speakers
