MobileAutoScene is a social community for car enthusiasts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you use the MobileAutoScene website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

Information we collect

  • Account information: your display name, email address, password in hashed form, account dates, and login information.
  • Social sign-in information: if you use Google or Facebook to sign in, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and provider account identifier. We do not receive your Google or Facebook password.
  • Profile information: information you choose to provide, such as a profile photo, city, state, age, or gender.
  • Community content: vehicle profiles, nicknames, descriptions, specifications, modifications, photographs, comments, likes, and friend connections.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, application version, device identifiers or notification tokens, session information, pages viewed, referring pages, and approximate interaction times.
  • Communications: information you provide when you contact us, submit feedback, or request support.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts.
  • Display profiles, vehicles, photos, comments, likes, and other community features.
  • Provide password resets, email verification, service messages, and support.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, protect, analyze, and improve the Service.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our rules.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

Public information

MobileAutoScene is a social service. Your display name, profile photo, vehicle profiles, vehicle photos, modifications, comments, likes, and other content you submit may be visible to other users and the public. Public content may also be indexed by search engines or shared by others. Do not post information you want to keep private.

Google and Facebook sign-in

Google and Facebook process information according to their own privacy policies. MobileAutoScene uses the basic identity information received from these providers only to authenticate you, create or link your MobileAutoScene account, prevent fraud, and provide the Service. We do not use social sign-in to access your contacts or post to your social account.

MobileAutoScene’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect account sessions, remember preferences, and operate Service features. We also use Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions with the website. Google may process information such as device details, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie or advertising identifiers according to Google’s policies and your settings.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information:

  • Publicly, when you submit content intended for public or community display.
  • To service providers, including hosting, cloud storage, email, authentication, analytics, and security providers that help us operate the Service. Vehicle and profile images may be stored using Amazon Web Services.
  • For legal and safety reasons, when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests; protect users or the public; investigate abuse; or protect our rights and property.
  • In a business transaction, such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal information for money.

Data retention

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or logs after deletion. Content shared with or copied by others may remain outside our control.

Your choices and account deletion

You may update available profile information through your account. You may also disconnect MobileAutoScene through your Google or Facebook account settings.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated personal information, email info@mobileautoscene.com from the email address connected to your account. Use the subject “MobileAutoScene Privacy Request” and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no online service, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

International users

MobileAutoScene is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from another country, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. We will post the updated policy here and revise its effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
